Linda is a graduate of DePaul University College of Law and has been practicing for over 15 years. She began her career as an Associate with a general practice firm concentrating her practice in family law, personal injury and workers’ compensation. While she enjoyed private practice, Linda developed a strong interest in the work of non-profit legal organizations. In 2007, Linda accepted a supervisory position with Catholic Charities as Coordinator of the legal program which provided free legal services to economically disadvantaged clients, including veterans, homeless persons, immigrants, and victims of domestic violence.
Subsequently, Linda started her own private practice and continued to nourish her interest in the work of non-profit organizations by doing pro bono work for low-income families. For over 5 years, Linda has been a volunteer attorney and member of the Board of Directors of Taller de Jose, a non-profit community resource center. In 2012, Linda received Taller de Jose’s Companion Award in recognition of her pro bono efforts.
Linda is a life-long Chicagoan with a passion for serving the underserved in her community. She is thrilled to serve Civic Legal Corps as Executive Director.
